Final Fantasy XIV Windower

I. Features
- It enables you to play FFXIV in pseudo full screen mode (no window borders).
- You can use alt-tab in the full screen mode without FFXIV crashing.
- No more crashes due to UAC, ctrl+alt+del or other losses of the DirectX device.
- FFXIV runs a bit faster (about 5%) than in the build in window mode.
- Enables hardware mouse without patching any game files.
- Easy to use and configure through build in launcher and settings application.

III. Requirements
- An up to date version of FFXIV
- Windows Vista or Windows 7 – it will not work on other systems
IV. How to use
- In FFXIV settings activate window mode and set the size (desktop res for full-screen).
- Start launcher, set the path to your ffxivboot.exe location and press “Play FFXIV”.
- You can also let the launcher create desktop links for you if you so choose.

FFXIV Windower is a program that allows you to play Final Fantasy XIV in windowed mode when playing the game on a PC.
The TOS of FFXIV prohibits the use of this program and considers it a form of cheating.
So what does FFXIV Windower do and why use it?
Well, this program simulates a full-screen environment in a window so that your FFXIV game thinks it’s in full-screen mode, but it allows you to multi-task. So while you are playing Final Fantasy XI you can check stock quotes, e-mail, IRC, Instant Messenger, and a ton of other things.
In this day and age many people cannot live without their messenger program so I think it’s a great little harmless program that only enhances your FFXIV game experience.
Note: using FFXIV Windower, FF14 Windower, Final Fantasy Online Windower, etc… May slow your computer down slightly.
